Loft Dynamics receives 24 million funding

The DACH region witnessed significant investment and acquisition activity on August 25th across multiple sectors. Stark Defense, a Berlin-based defense technology startup, successfully raised $62 million from prominent investors including Sequoia Capital, achieving a valuation of approximately $500 million.

The company specializes in combat drone technology and has attracted backing from notable investors like Peter Thiel and the NATO Innovation Fund. Meanwhile, Zurich-based Loft Dynamics secured $24 million from The Friedkin Group and Alaska Airlines to advance their VR pilot training solutions. In the biotech sector, Cologne startup Detechgene raised €3 million for rapid infection detection technology.

The acquisition landscape was equally active, with Strangeworks acquiring quantum computing firm Quantagonia, Comply365 purchasing AI startup Beams, and Wirelane expanding through the acquisition of charging infrastructure provider Ladegrün.
