Emma Heming Willis Opens Up About Bruce's Care Arrangement

Bruce Willis has moved to a separate single-story residence where he receives round-the-clock professional care, according to his wife Emma Heming Willis. This arrangement was carefully planned with their daughters' wellbeing as the primary consideration, though the family maintains regular contact through shared meals. Bruce's health journey began with an aphasia diagnosis in March 2022, affecting his ability to communicate effectively.

His condition later developed into frontotemporal dementia (FTD), which impacts brain regions responsible for personality, behavior, and language functions. Emma first recognized concerning changes when Bruce became unusually withdrawn and emotionally distant during family gatherings, contrasting sharply with his naturally affectionate character.

Medical expert Dr. Bruce Miller explained that FTD remained largely unrecognized until the 1990s, with typical onset occurring around age 56. The initial diagnosis left Emma feeling devastated and without hope, particularly after being told no treatment options existed.
