Former Southern Charm Star Kathryn Dennis Sentenced to Jail for DUI Conviction

Kathryn Dennis, a 34-year-old former reality TV personality from Southern Charm, has been sentenced to 30 days in jail after being convicted of driving under the influence in Goose Creek, South Carolina. The incident occurred in May 2024 when Dennis was involved in a three-car collision. Police officers observed that she had glossy eyes and smelled of alcohol.

Although she initially denied drinking, officers discovered an unopened mini-bottle of Fireball alcohol on her car floor and an empty glass. During questioning, she eventually admitted to drinking 'way earlier.' Dennis has previously been open about her struggles with alcohol on Southern Charm, where she appeared as a main cast member from seasons 2 to 8.

Her drinking problems have significantly affected her personal life, particularly during custody battles with her former partner Thomas Ravenel over their two children. She temporarily lost custody due to substance abuse issues but regained 50/50 custody in 2017 after maintaining sobriety for two years. Dennis left the show in January 2023 after a decade of filming.
