Sherri Shepherd Asks SNL to Cast Black Woman After Exit

Sherri Shepherd spoke on her talk show about Saturday Night Live. She asked SNL to quickly hire a Black female cast member. This happened because Ego Nwodim left the show.

Nwodim was the only Black woman on SNL. Now the show has no Black women. Shepherd said this is a big problem.

She remembered that in the past, male actors like Kenan Thompson had to dress as women to play Black female characters. She also remembered when Tracy Morgan played her on TV wearing a bad wig. Shepherd said SNL cannot say they cannot find good Black female comics.

She knows many talented women who work in comedy clubs. She mentioned names like Tacarra Williams and B-Phlat. Shepherd told SNL they must hire a Black woman and not disappoint viewers.
